Phases of Chiropractic Care

We divide our chiropractic care into three segments. During Phase 1, our goal is to provide pain relief. We also need to gather information on your health and your genetic history to establish the best care plan for you. Our chiropractors collect a complete health history. You can download the forms here and bring them with you to your first appointment. By filling out the forms at home, you are able to take your time and recollect your health concerns and those that are prominent in your family’s health history. At your first visit, we discuss this information and educate you on how best to reduce your health risks. Our main focus during this time, is to alleviate your pain. Whether you are seeking care for an injury or a chronic condition, we establish a spinal adjustment routine that will bring you relief. Our chiropractors may or may not do an adjustment at your first visit. If we find you are ready for one, we want to assure you that spinal manipulations are painless. Our chiropractors gently slide vertebrae into a healthier alignment and the sound, if any, is similar to that of a cracking knuckle. Your appointments during phase are typically 2 to 3 times a week for 1 to 3 months.

Phase 2 of your care addresses the cause of your pain or chronic concerns. Our chiropractors work to establish a healthy spine alignment and position the muscles to support your posture. As your strength improves, this corrective phase continues to heal injuries and restore your health to its best. We teach you exercises to sustain overall wellness and reduce your health and injury risks. We see patients approximately 4 to 8 times a month for 6 months to 2 years during this restorative phase.

Your wellness care continues during Phase 3. This is when you have recovered, but we want to keep your body feeling healthy and strong. Your appointments are now once a month or once a week depending on your needs. Our goal is to help you feel your best and work with you through daily concerns such as head colds, digestive issues or headaches. We remain your go-to source for assistance with all your health care needs.
